Dr. Handa completed her MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore.
Dr. Handa pursued DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology, obtaining the Diplomate of National Board from Jaipur Golden Hospital in Rohini, New Delhi. She further honed her skills and knowledge at Government Medical College & Hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh. Driven by her passion for continuous learning, she became a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS).
Dr. Handa’s professional journey is adorned with numerous awards and achievements. She topped medical stream at New Delhi and has participated in various workshops and conferences to expand her expertise. She completed workshops on gynaecological endocrinology at AIIMS, New Delhi, and on robotics in gynecology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. She has also completed courses on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and fetal medicine. Her dedication and research contributions have earned her prizes for oral paper presentations and poster presentations at prestigious conferences and symposiums.
Throughout her career, Dr. Handa has gained valuable experience working in different healthcare settings. She worked as a DNB Obstetrics & Gynecology at Jaipur Golden Hospital, a tertiary care hospital in New Delhi. Additionally, she served in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Government Medical College & Hospital in Chandigarh. Currently, Dr. Handa works as an Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Cloudnine Hospital in Chandigarh, where she provides comprehensive care to women, including routine and high-risk obstetrics, gynaecological procedures, and prenatal and postnatal care.
Dr. Handa’s skills and expertise encompass a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological procedures. She is well-versed in routine and high-risk vaginal deliveries, forceps and vacuum applications, as well as lower segment cesarean sections. She has assisted in various gynaecological surgeries, both major and laparoscopic, and is adept at performing them under supervision. Dr. Handa is also experienced in conducting obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds, including routine and emergency cases.
In her research endeavors, Dr. Handa has explored topics such as the role of modified BPP in high-risk pregnancy and conservative surgical management of mesh erosion following abdominal sacrocolpopexy. Her research findings contribute to the advancement of knowledge in her field.
